Career Success Program will consist of job readiness classes such as, the basic of Microsoft office, how to create an effective resume and cover letter, how to search jobs through internet, post resume on job search engines, follow-up on application, dress code tips and acing the interview techniques. The Career Success Program explains the follow through process which includes importance of thank you letters how to secure a valid contact for application follow-up and the importance of staying motivated. We recognize that people who are homeless will not succeed without life skills and positive attitude. Therefore, we are committed to increasing women self-confidence, by providing make over’s and pampering sessions while discussing self –control, coping skills, and how to reinvent themselves.
Fallen Diva’s, - We have created the Diva’s In Crises Program to assist with emergency funds to pay utilities, rent, medication and provide nutritional food. The amount of assistance each client will receive will be determined by the case worker.
Food for the Soul program dedicated to providing nutritious meals and clothing and offer assistance to getting them off the streets. The program operates a weekly meal program every other Saturday in Gwinnett where we canvas low-income areas and known homeless people hang outs, we offer food clothing, a smile, brochures for assistance, we also offer rides to Atlanta emergency shelters. Food for the Soul began in April 2009 as vision of the Harp Center Founder, Tomiko Powell and response to the hunger she witnessed among the poor and homeless of Atlanta. What initially began as the distribution of meals from the trunk of a car has grown through the dedication of its volunteers and now serves more than 250 meals every other week to homeless, disabled, elderly and low income families.
